The Beatles were wrong!

Well I not in the woods right now, peak rut time here in Michigan and I don't care. My family is getting ready to hunt something much more dangerous than a Kodiak. I am up at the hospital right now waiting while my mom receives a port to receive Chemotherapy.

My mom was diagnosed with Lung cancer.

We will beat it.

I don't need you to feel sorry for me and my family, because my mom is the strongest person I know. She has faced this beast three times and conquered it...3 times.

It really brings life into focus when something like this happens and I appreciate hunting even more. I realize the cycle of life means death, I know my mom will die someday, but not by this, and on her own terms.

I did almost lose my temper and had every ounce of Christian blood not to snap a doctors neck when my mom asked how long her treatment was and he said "six months to a year but some time people live longer." Yeah, he said that, I am still fuming about it.

My Mother fell into a depression state for about 2 days until she met with her doctor she beloving calls Dr. Sammy.

He reassured that it would be much longer than that. My mom got that spark in her eye I was waiting for, "GAME ON! I said, Now let's beat this thing!"

The Beatles wrote "all you need is love." They are wrong, you also need faith and hope.

Prayers are needed for my family, pity isn't.

Thanks for the rant, pass the potatoes.

Well I will certainly be praying and it's always the Lord's call...not the doctor's!!
